Install
Pick the file you downloaded. The installer is the easy route; the zip is for people who like a folder they can move around.

02 · WINDOWS CHECK
Windows asks once because the game is new and not code-signed yet. What it looks like is shown below.
03 · INSTALL
No admin password needed. When it finishes, Engone Demo is in your Start menu and on your desktop.

Do this first. A game run from inside the zip cannot find its data and closes straight away.
02 · OPEN
Open the extracted "Engone Demo" folder and double-click ENGONE_Demo.exe. Keep the folder together.
03 · WINDOWS CHECK

WHY WINDOWS WARNS YOU
Windows shows this for new programs that aren't signed with a paid code-signing certificate. Engone is made by an independent developer and isn't signed yet — the warning is about the missing signature, not about anything found in the file.

EDGE / CHROME If the browser says the file “isn’t commonly downloaded”, open the download list, click … next to the file and choose Keep (then Keep anyway).

The demo is a cut of the work-in-progress Engone simulator. The latest build, with everything unlocked, is available through Patreon.

Audio is synthesized live on the CPU, so a slow CPU shows up as crackling before low FPS.
Installed size about 1.2 GB. Windows only for now — no macOS, Linux or mobile build.

Troubleshooting
Most problems are one of these. If yours isn't, the Discord is the fastest way to get it fixed.

Open your browser's download list (Ctrl+J), click … next to the file, and choose Keep, then Keep anyway. New files from small developers get this until enough people have downloaded them.
New, unsigned game builds sometimes trip antivirus heuristics. Restore the file from quarantine (or allow it), then check its SHA-256 against this page. Tell us which antivirus flagged it in the Discord so we can report the false positive.
You are probably running it from inside the zip. Right-click the zip, choose Extract All, and run ENGONE_Demo.exe from the extracted folder. Keep ENGONE_Demo_Data next to the .exe — or use the installer, which handles this for you.
Update your graphics driver first. On a laptop, make sure the game uses the dedicated GPU: Settings → System → Display → Graphics, add ENGONE_Demo.exe and pick High performance. Alt+Enter switches between fullscreen and windowed.
The demo is Windows-only for now. Send yourself the link — engone.dev/demo — and download it on a Windows PC.
Installer version: Settings → Apps, find Engone Demo, and choose Uninstall. Zip version: delete the folder. Settings and logs live in %USERPROFILE%\AppData\LocalLow\ENGONE if you want those gone too.
Post in the Discord with what you were doing and, if you can, the log file. Paste this into the File Explorer address bar to find it:
